A Scenic Setting in the Kent Downs for Romantic Weddings

Crown Lodge in Wye offers something truly special: a panoramic view across the Kent countryside, paired with the intimacy of a woodland retreat. Perched high above the rolling landscape, this peaceful venue is ideal for couples seeking a relaxed yet beautiful setting for their wedding.

As a recommended wedding videographer to Crown Lodge, I find it provides a canvas full of light, natural tones, and uninterrupted views—perfect for creating a wedding film that feels effortlessly romantic and grounded in nature.

A Place Where Nature and Emotion Take the Lead in a Wedding Film

There’s something unmistakably peaceful about Crown Lodge. The open-air ceremony space, rustic tipi, and surrounding woodland allow the day to unfold with a natural flow, free from the constraints of more formal venues.

The gentle atmosphere encourages emotional moments—subtle glances, heartfelt speeches, and unspoken connections—that translate beautifully into film.

“When we received our video from Luke, I sobbed like a baby. It was romantic, magical and overall just pure love. We feel so honoured to have Luke at our wedding and would recommend him at any chance we get.

It really is over and above what we expected and we feel so much love being able to share Luke's work with our nearest people

Thank you for making it possible to relive the love from our day, over and over again.”

Unique Reception Space

The on-site tipi blends rustic charm with elegance, with plenty of opportunity for dancing, laughter, and cosy fireside gatherings.

Golden Hour Magic

With such open skies and elevation, the evening light is often golden and soft—ideal for capturing timeless portrait moments.

What I enjoy most about filming at Crown Lodge is the sense of calm it brings. There’s no rush, no over-structured timeline—just honest moments in a beautiful place. The setting encourages couples and guests to be present and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Whether filming a speech under the tipi lights or a couple walking along the ridge during sunset, I’m constantly inspired by how gently the day flows here. It’s a space where the real, emotional moments can rise to the surface.

“Luke has really made the way we will look back on that day so much more meaningful to us. His unique way of story-telling and working with the speeches and candid moments throughout the day is fantastic.

I have had countless friends and family say that ours is the best wedding video and that they’ve never seen anything like it.”

Absolutely. I film the full day, from preparations to speeches and dancing, ensuring no part of the story is missed.

How do you approach filming at a natural outdoor venue like this?

I take a low-key approach, blending into the background and using the natural light and surroundings to tell the story visually.

Do you know the Crown Lodge team?

Yes, I’ve filmed here before and always find the team welcoming and helpful. This helps the day run smoothly and allows me to capture everything without disruption.

Do you offer coverage outside of Kent?

Yes. While I’m based in Kent, I film weddings all over the UK and Europe, offering the same level of care and storytelling no matter the location.
