Wedding Films at Balcombe Place

Balcombe Place is one of Sussex’s most captivating country house wedding venues—an imposing and romantic estate nestled at the edge of the Balcombe village. It offers grand interiors, flexible ceremony spaces, and a feeling of timeless elegance without formality.

As a wedding videographer, Balcombe Place is a place I’m always excited to return to. The setting is both dramatic and intimate, giving space for real moments to unfold naturally. I’ve filmed many weddings here, and each one feels different—shaped by the couple, the season, and the energy of the day.

Why Balcombe Place Works Beautifully on Film

The layout of Balcombe Place flows with purpose, from the grandeur of its staircases and ceremony rooms to the warmth of the reception spaces and gardens. Every room offers depth, texture, and quality light—three elements that make a real difference on film.

There’s a sense of privacy and ease here. Nothing feels rushed. That freedom allows you to be fully present in the moment while I quietly observe and capture the details that define your day.

“The cinematic way in which he films and edits all his wedding videos was just a perfect fit for us.

For most of the time we forgot we were even being filmed, so we were truly ourselves without any nervousness! He managed to capture every emotion and caught so many little candid moments that were just a joy to re-live.

His professionalism, care and general gentle persona leaves you at ease throughout the entire process and the finished product was truly incredible.”

Character in Every Corner

From the intricate woodwork and fireplaces to eclectic styling, the interiors offer personality that translates beautifully in motion.

Space for an Elegant Celebration Without Compromise

Balcombe Place doesn’t impose a rigid format—it gives you room to shape your day your way, whether that’s a candlelit dinner or a garden party feel.

Balcombe Place has a real rhythm to it. The house opens up slowly over the course of the day—starting with calm, light-filled rooms for morning prep, then expanding into the ceremony and reception spaces, and finally into a more atmospheric tone for the evening.

I’m always drawn to venues with natural storytelling built in, and Balcombe Place does this well. There’s no need to stage or manufacture anything—the setting creates genuine moments without trying.

Its flexible layout also means I can work quietly, capturing the experience without interrupting the flow or drawing attention. It’s a space that respects the privacy of the couple while offering endless opportunities for cinematic storytelling.

“Luke has really made the way we will look back on that day so much more meaningful to us. His unique way of story-telling and working with the speeches and candid moments throughout the day is fantastic.

I have had countless friends and family say that ours is the best wedding video and that they’ve never seen anything like it.”
