I'm Luke, a professional wedding videographer based in Kent offering videography and photography services across the UK and Europe. To me, being a wedding filmmaker is one of the best jobs in the world and I am truly passionate about professional video production.
What makes me different than other Luxury Wedding Videographers?
My approach to videography has always been simple- put people first and keep cameras second.
Operating behind a camera it's easy to forget the human element- how being on the other side of the lens can feel. However, as a wedding videographer I believe that it is my responsibility to ensure my clients have a positive experience working with me. I place a big emphasis on keeping things relaxed, connecting with my clients and putting them at ease. By having this relaxed style and approach as a professional wedding videographer my clients often see me as more of a friend, someone relatable and understandiing, which means when I do press the record button on my camera they are completely at ease.
Modern wedding videographers are blessed to have reletively easy access to very good equipment but there is simply no replacement for lowering the camera and showing your client compassion and understanding. It's a skill that as a professional wedding videographer I pride myself on.
A Creative Wedding Videographer, But What Does That Mean For You?
I created Luke Batchelor Productions in 2018 with the goal of creating emotive, story driven wedding films that really made a strong connection with my clients. I wanted to take my laid back, calm nature and combine that with being a high end wedding videographer- showing clients around the world that they could have the wedding film they had always dreamed of, have fun creating it, revel in the experience and show them that it didn't need to be awkward, intrusive or dominate their special day.
My passion truly lies in telling stories- I love having the technical knowledge of the tools and equipment at my disposal that allow me to be a creative in my filmmaking and using that to turn my clients visions into reality. Seeing and hearing my clients reactions when they first watch their wedding film, there's nothing quite like that!

A Wedding Filmmaker That’s Calm and Concise Under Pressure
I believe my calm nature and my ability to handle high pressure situations derives from my previous career as a professional soldier in the British Army.
Discipline, organisation, attention to detail, the ability to focus and communicate clearly under pressure while also quickly reacting to fast moving, ever changing situations- these are all skill sets I learnt during my 14 year career that i have brought with me into my work as a Luxury wedding videographer. Multiple overseas operations taught me the value in human emotions and what a powerful driving force they can be- not to mention that soldiers are exceptional storytellers!

I am so fortunate that I have been able to visit so many beautiful locations throughout my time as a professional wedding videographer to meet my clients, build a rapport with them and enter their lives in order to tell their stories.
Whether it has been locally in Kent, London, Surrey or Sussex, further afield such as Norfolk, Devon or Cotswolds, or whisking away to a far away land for Destination weddings, being a wedding filmmaker has allowed me to go to some of the most beautiful places in the world, capturing wonderful human beings in incredible settings. I have always held being trusted and recommended by a wedding venue in high regard- they see and work with hundreds of wedding vendors every year, so for them to recommend you to their clients and to want to work with you again in the future is really something quite special. I have been fortunate enough to work with some incredible venues over the years as a Wedding Videographer who have recipricated the experience I gave them by adding me to their recomendations list.

Getting Personal - A Trip Behind The Camera
Away from cameras, weddings and filmmaking, I live in Kent with my beautiful wife, Amy, and our 3 incredible children, our eldest Hendrix and twins Penny and Jenson.
I love to travel and I have been fortunate to visit some incredible countries during my lifetime- USA, Jordan, Greece, Cyprus, Afghanistan, France, Singapore, Thailand, Germany, Iceland, Costa Rica, Italy, Spain, Turkey and many more. My favourites? An even split between Jordan and Costa Rica, for very different reasons, however both were strikingly beautiful.
Personally, my hobbies outside of filmmaking are sim racing, Formula 1, running and music.
