SARAH & JONATHAN // THE BARN AT BOTLEY HILL
The wedding of Sarah and Jonathan was a day that will forever be remembered as a true celebration of love and commitment. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows in the stunning Temple Church in London, against a backdrop of soaring arches and intricate stained glass windows. As a wedding filmmaker, it was a dream come true to capture every moment of this breathtaking ceremony.
“I WAS TEN SECONDS AWAY FROM NEVER SEEING HER AGAIN”
OCTOBER 2022
As a wedding filmmaker, I am always honored to be a part of a couple's special day, capturing every detail and emotion to create a timeless keepsake for them to treasure forever. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of Sarah and Jonathan, and it was a day that will forever hold a special place in my heart.
The day began at the stunning Temple Church in London, where Sarah and Jonathan exchanged heartfelt vows in front of their closest family and friends. As they stood at the altar, the love and devotion between them was palpable, and I knew that this was going to be a wedding to remember. Sarah’s walk down the very, very grand aisle at the Temple Church was simply magnificent- I knew right then I needed it to be a big, punchy moment in the film.
I think people are always surprised to find that I actually build about 80% of their wedding film on the wedding day itself, whilst i’m filming. I can picture how certain shots & scenes will link in with each other & working this way means I can encourage my couples to create shots with me that will suit that visual narrative.
The Temple Church is a magnificent building steeped in history, with soaring arches, intricate stained glass windows, and a sense of grandeur that is hard to describe. As a wedding filmmaker, it was a dream come true to capture the couple's special moments against this breathtaking backdrop. From the moment Sarah walked down the aisle, her face radiant with joy, to the moment the couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife, every detail was carefully documented to create a cinematic masterpiece.
After the ceremony, the wedding party made their way to Botley Hill Barn in East Sussex for the reception. This charming venue provided the perfect setting for a countryside celebration, with its rustic charm and natural surroundings. As the guests arrived, the air was filled with excitement and anticipation, and I could feel the energy building as we prepared to capture the festivities.
As the night went on, the party atmosphere kicked in, with laughter, cheers, and a few smoke bombs adding to the fun and playful mood. It was a joy to capture every moment of the celebration, from the couple's first dance to the heartfelt speeches from their loved ones. Every detail was carefully documented to create a wedding film that truly captured the magic of the day.
Looking back on Sarah and Jonathan's wedding day, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to have been a part of it. Their love story is one for the ages, and it was an honor to be able to document this special moment in their lives. As a wedding filmmaker, I am passionate about capturing the unique stories of each couple I work with, and I believe that Sarah and Jonathan's wedding film will inspire and delight others as they plan their own dream weddings.
In conclusion, Sarah and Jonathan's wedding was a true celebration of love and commitment, with a perfect mix of city and countryside charm. As a wedding filmmaker, it was an honor to capture every moment of this special day, and I am proud to have created a wedding film that will be treasured for years to come.

The Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe, Devon, played host to one of the most beautiful and meaningful weddings of 2022. Sally and Meron, a lovely couple from Dubai, exchanged their vows in front of an international crowd of family and friends, who travelled from all over the world to witness their union. As a Devon wedding videographer, I was fortunate enough to capture all the special moments and emotions of this amazing day on film.

SEPTEMBER 2022
The Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe, Devon, played host to one of the most beautiful and meaningful weddings of 2022. Sally and Meron, a lovely couple from Dubai, exchanged their vows in front of an international crowd of family and friends, who travelled from all over the world to witness their union. As a Devon wedding videographer, I was fortunate enough to capture all the special moments and emotions of this amazing day on film.
The Tunnels Beaches is one of the top wedding venues in the UK and for good reason. This stunning venue offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the North Devon coastline, with the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks in the background. It's the perfect backdrop for a beach wedding, and Sally and Meron took full advantage of it.
The day began with an outdoor wedding ceremony, with Sally and Meron exchanging their heartfelt and emotional vows. There was not a dry eye in the crowd, as everyone watched the couple profess their love and commitment to each other. The bright bouquets of flowers held by the brides, along with the seaside setting, created a vibrant and romantic atmosphere, which was reflected in the heartfelt speeches by family and friends.
After the ceremony, the celebrations began, with Sally and Meron dancing their way through a confetti tunnel and straight into the party. The guests, hailing from all over the world, brought their unique energy and personalities to the dance floor, creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere that lasted well into the night. And the amazing saxophonist, Daniel Costin, added to the festive vibe with his incredible music. This was easily one of the best parties I filmed in 2022 & the dance floor was treated to some incredible dance moves!
As a destination wedding videographer, it was an honor to capture such an amazing celebration of love and union. The joy, energy, and emotion of the day were palpable and evident in every frame of the film. Sally and Meron's wedding was a testament to the power of love, and a reminder that it transcends all borders, cultures, and traditions. I absolutely love filming international weddings, the mixing of cultures fascinates me & they are always the happiest weddings because, for the most part, most people are on holiday!
“Thank You For Loving Me As Fiercely As You Do” is a wedding film that captures the beauty and love of Sally and Meron's stunning Tunnels Beaches wedding. As a Devon wedding videographer, I'm honoured to have been a part of their special day, & to have captured their memories on film for them to cherish forever.
If you're planning a destination wedding in Devon, or anywhere in the world, and are looking for a wedding videographer to capture your special day, please don't hesitate to get in touch. DARIA + KIERAN // THE RAVENSWOOD
Experience the magic of Daria and Kieran's special day at the enchanting & charming Ravenswood venue in East Grinstead, West Sussex2 with their stunning wedding video, which is titled "Without You My World Would Be Much Smaller”. Created by multi award winning wedding filmmaker Luke Batchelor.
“WITHOUT YOU MY WORLD WOULD BE MUCH SMALLER ”
OCTOBER 2022
When it comes to capturing the magic of a wedding day, nothing quite compares to a beautiful wedding video (although it could be said that i’m slightly biased!). From the emotional moments shared between the bride and groom, to the joy and celebration that fills the air, a well-crafted wedding video can transport you back to that special day and allow you to relive the memories for years to come- something that no other service can provide.
That's why I’m thrilled to share with you this stunning wedding video from Daria and Kieran's special day at the Ravenswood venue. From the title "Without You My World Would Be Much Smaller" & the beautiful once-in-a-lifetime moments captured in the film, it's clear that this couple shares a deep connection and a love that is truly special- something I really wanted to be a strong feature throughout the film & it was one of my main considerations when I sat down to edit.
You cannot just be a good filmmaker on the wedding day itself, but you also have to be a great editor as well. To understand your couple, know what they are expecting & wanting from you & then translate that into a wedding film they’ll adore is all a part of the editing process. Knowing how to pace the film properly, when to ramp up the pace or slow it down to highlight those emotional moments are the types of things I consider when I begin constructing a film for a couple.
As you watch the video, you'll be transported to the Ravenswood venue, a stunning location that provided the perfect backdrop for Daria and Kieran's wedding day. With its elegant decor, beautiful gardens, and grand architecture, the Ravenswood is the kind of venue that makes you feel like you're in a fairytale.
The video begins with Daria getting ready for her big day, surrounded by her bridesmaids and family members. As she puts on her dress and final touches, you can feel the excitement building. Meanwhile, Kieran is also preparing for the wedding, surrounded by his groomsmen and looking handsome in his suit. These types of shots are key to building that tension in the film.
At the end of the video, you'll be left feeling warm and fuzzy inside, as you witness the beauty of true love and the joy that comes with celebrating such a special day with the people you care about most & of course, you’ll know Daria & Kieran a little better too! I’m very proud of this film & I feel very honoured that these two chose me to be a part of their wedding day.

CHARLOTTE & TOM // OLD THORNS
Charlotte and Tom's wedding day was a truly magical celebration of love and joy that I had the pleasure of capturing as their wedding videographer. From the beautiful ceremony in the old church to the stunning reception at the Old Thorns Golf Course in Hampshire, every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed to perfection.

“If you’re in search of a wedding videographer who has the ability to tell your story perfectly and naturally, then look no further!
Luke captured our wedding day a few months ago and we are blown away by the end result! From start to finish, Luke was professional, attentive, and seamlessly captured every detail of our wedding day. Luke went over and above to ensure all the required footage was captured - all with a friendly approach.
Watching the videos, we were transported back to that moment and it was like reliving it all over again. We would highly recommend Luke to all those seeking to capture those unforgettable moments that are worth cherishing forever.
Thanks so much Luke!”
As a wedding videographer, I have been lucky enough to capture many beautiful and unique love stories. However, Charlotte and Tom’s wedding was one for the books & one that I thoroughly enjoyed. Their love story is like something straight out of a rom-com, and their wedding day was a celebration of that love, joy, and pure happiness.
I arrived early on the morning of the wedding day to capture the hustle and bustle of preparations. The atmosphere was calm and serene, with a hint of nervous anticipation in the air. Charlotte and her bridesmaids were getting their hair and makeup done, and Tom and his groomsmen were putting on their suits. As a videographer, I like to stay in the background and capture these candid moments as they happen. I could already see the love and excitement building up as the day went on.
The ceremony was held in a beautiful old church, and it was clear that Charlotte and Tom had put a lot of thought into every detail of their wedding. The atmosphere was electric as their family and friends gathered to witness the union of these two amazing people. Charlotte looked stunning in her white dress, and Tom looked handsome in his suit & I don’t think there was a dry eye anywhere to be seen as Charlotte & her father took that wonderful walk down the aisle- something that I wanted to be a big build-up part of the film.
The ceremony was filled with love, laughter, and a few happy tears. There were readings, singing, and of course, the all-important wedding vows. As a videographer, it’s always a challenge to capture the emotions of such an important moment & to stay discreet, but I was able to capture every detail of their beautiful ceremony. It’s obviously a very important part of the day- after all, it’s the moment you actually get married! I always try to fade into the background at these points & let whatever happens, happen- its not a film set, it’s your wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony, we moved on to the reception at the Old Thorns Golf Course in Hampshire. The reception hall was beautifully decorated, with flowers, fairy lights, and candles. The guests were treated to a delicious meal, and Charlotte and Tom’s speeches were heartfelt, emotional & of course, hilarious!. It was clear that these two were meant to be together, and that they had found their soulmate in each other & that there had been some funny moments along their journey together. Speeches are one of the most critical parts of the day for me as a wedding filmmaker, as this is where 90% of my narrative for the highlights film is going to come from- but again, its a moment to be discreet because its a moment for the couple & their guests. A lot of prep work goes into filming the speeches so that when the first speaker stands up, nothing i’m doing as a filmmaker is a distraction to the onlooking guests.
As the evening progressed, the dance floor became the center of attention. The guests danced the night away, and Charlotte and Tom’s first dance as a married couple was nothing short of magical. The energy was infectious, and I made sure to capture every moment on film. With such an energetic dance floor I wanted to do something slightly different with the edit in the film. Typically I want this portion of any film to be high paced & energetic, with quick transitions between each scene but for Charlotte & Tom’s film I decided to do some speed ramping, where we move very quickly between each scene but slow down a specific point of the action in-between. It’s not a look that works with every wedding but I thought it worked really well for this film.
As the night drew to a close, the guests gathered outside for the sparkler exit. It was a beautiful moment, and I made sure to capture it all on film. But that was not the end of the night! The couple had arranged for a surprise firework display, and it was absolutely spectacular. It was the perfect end to an incredible wedding day.
Overall, Charlotte and Tom’s wedding day was one for the books. It was a celebration of love, joy, and pure happiness. As a wedding videographer, it was a true pleasure to capture their special day on film. I am honored to have been a part of their wedding journey and to have been able to document their amazing love story. Congratulations to Charlotte and Tom!

ELLA + JACK // MOUNT EPHRAIM
Watch the beautiful and emotional wedding film I recently made for Ella & Jack’s wedding at Mount Ephraim Gardens. From the charming outdoor ceremony to the romantic first dance, this film captures the essence of their special day. As a wedding videographer, my goal is always to tell the couple's unique story and showcase their love in a way that will be cherished for years to come. If you're looking for inspiration for your own wedding film, check out this stunning example.
“I WASN’T JUST LIVING WITH YOU, I COULDN’T LIVE WITHOUT YOU”
JULY 2022
Mount Ephraim Gardens is a serene wedding venue with acres of procured gardens & beautiful scenery- a perfect place for the romantic & wildly in love Ella & Jack to tie the knot in a stunning outdoor wedding ceremony.
This genuine & down to earth couple were so much fun to film for & their day was full of special touches, sentiments & the occasional tear or two. I love it when my couples let me in & show me their emotions & especially with grooms- Jack didn’t let me down! His speech was a joy to film & provided a perfect mix of emotion & comedy- something I wanted to use to great effect in their film to pace the story. I am a huge believer in the fact that every wedding & more importantly every couple, have a story & it’s my job to extract that story from them. Even if they don’t think they do!
As a wedding videographer & filmmaker, my goal is always to capture the essence of the couple's relationship and their special day. I want to create a film that not only tells their story but also makes them feel like they're reliving their wedding every time they watch it. With Ella & Jack, I had a lot of material to work with because their wedding was truly beautiful in every way.
The film begins with shots of the venue and the surrounding countryside. The setting was truly breathtaking, with rolling hills, lush greenery, and the charming Manor House looked amazing with the drone up in the air. The opening shots give the viewer a sense of the beauty and tranquility of the location, whilst building tension & suspense & sets the tone for the rest of the film.
Next, we see the bride getting ready with her bridesmaids. The anticipation and excitement are palpable as they put on their dresses, fix each other's hair, and exchange nervous laughs. The bride looks stunning in her lace gown, and the shots of her putting on her jewelry and walking down the aisle are some of my favorite in the film. Then came the dress reveal to Dad- a moment that made everyone in the room well up & shed a tear.
The ceremony itself was a beautiful and emotional affair. Ella & Jack exchanged heartfelt vows, and there were tears and smiles all around. I made sure to capture every moment of the ceremony, from the first notes of the processional music to the couple's first kiss as newlyweds. The shots of the couple walking back down the aisle together, hand in hand, are particularly beautiful- especially as this was their confetti shot!
Throughout the film, I made sure to capture little details that would help the couple remember their day. Shots of the wedding favors, the cake, and the guest book all serve as reminders of the happy moments shared with loved ones. I also made sure to capture shots of the couple's parents and grandparents, who looked on with pride and joy throughout the day. It’s these little moments which help to deliver the ‘feeling’ in a wedding film.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with how Ella & Jack’s wedding film turned out. They were thrilled with the final product, and I'm proud to have created a film that they'll cherish for years to come.
If you're planning a wedding and looking for a videographer to capture your special day, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me. I'd love to help you create a film that captures the beauty and emotion of your wedding day!

“DAD, I WALKED YOUR STEPS FOR YOU TODAY”
SEPTEMBER 2022
“From start to finish Luke was simply amazing.
We originally didn’t plan for a videographer but when we saw Luke’s work, we knew it was something we were not going to pass on!
Once we had changed our mind and was able to get booked in with Luke, we were utterly obsessed with his work. Every post he made, both my husband and I would watch right away! I couldn’t believe the emotions that were evoked from complete strangers and that was all down to the pure magic and hard work put into every single one of Luke’s films. All I wanted from the video was to be able to relive our day and have something to show our children one day. Luke delivered that and more! Our video was perfect in every way and watching it, I felt every emotion again. The build up was phenomenal and I cannot praise Luke enough for this. The music, the content, the colour, everything was just wonderful.
We both already knew your work was amazing but receiving our own video, we just know this was one of the best, if not the best, decision we made for the wedding. We feel so honoured to have Luke at our wedding and would recommend him at any chance we get.
Thank you Luke, from the bottom of ours hearts. Thank you for making it possible to relive the love from our day, over and over again.”
I recently had the honour of capturing the beautiful day of Alana & Carl at the stunning Winters Barns wedding venue, just outside of Canterbury, Kent. The day was filled with love, laughter, and heartfelt moments, and I am excited to share with you the film that resulted from this unforgettable occasion.
Titled "Dad, I walked your steps for you today," the film perfectly captures the story of not only Alana & Carl, but that of Alana’s brother walking her down the aisle in honor of their father who had, very sadly, passed away. This touching tribute added a personal touch to the film, making it a truly heartfelt & authentic tribute to the love and bond shared between family members.
From the very start, the film sets the tone for a day filled with grandeur and elegance- it is clear from the opening frames that this wedding was something special. Every detail of the wedding was carefully planned and executed, from the stunning floral arrangements to the elegant wedding dress.
One of the most unforgettable moments of the film is the ceremony itself. As the bride's brother walks her down the aisle, there is a palpable sense of emotion and love in the air. The outdoor ceremony at Winters Barns adds to the magic of the moment- the film captures every moment of the ceremony perfectly, including the exchange of heartfelt vows between the couple.
The reception was another unforgettable moment, filled with love, laughter, and joy. I love to capture the energy and spirit of the evening, with the couple's first dance serving as a particularly touching moment. Throughout the film, there are intimate moments shared between the couple, such as when they exchange loving glances or whispered sweet nothings to each other. These moments add a personal touch to the film, making it feel like we are witnessing something truly special. When couples throw themselves into their filming session on the day, it really does open up so many possibilities for the film & where I can take their story. Couple that with a beautiful sunset at Winters Barns & I had all the tools I needed to make a truly great wedding film for Alana & Carl.
Overall, "Dad, I walked your steps for you today" is a testament to the beauty and power of love, family, and the bonds that connect us all. It perfectly captures the emotion, excitement, and magic of the day, and it is a film that the couple and their loved ones will treasure forever. As a filmmaker, it was an honor to be able to capture such a special day and to create a film that truly tells the story of this wonderful couple and their family.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a wedding filmmaker who can capture the essence of your special day and tell your unique story, I may be what you are looking for. The combination of breathtaking visuals, expert camera work, and a romantic score all come together to create a film that will transport you back to your wedding day every time you watch it. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to create such a beautiful film, and I am excited to see what the future holds for my career as a wedding filmmaker.

The stunning Gardens in Yalding, Kent, provided the perfect backdrop for their big day. From the intimate church ceremony to the scorching reception in the beautiful gardens, every moment was perfectly captured on film.
As a wedding videographer, I always love capturing those special moments between couples, and Laura and Harry's wedding day was no exception. As we strolled through the gardens, seeking shade from the hot sun, we captured some truly amazing and heartwarming moments between them. It was clear to see just how deeply in love they were with each other, and I felt truly honoured to be able to capture those precious moments on film.
I always love it when couples throw themselves into their wedding day & have fun working with me & their photographer to create & capture some beautiful moments for them. I’m not a documentary filmmaker & the couples portrait session is an opportunity for me to create those wonderful cinematic shots you see in my films & when you get a lively, upbeat & totally in-love couple like Laura & Harry, it all comes together & it looks so, so good.
From the beautiful flowers and immaculate gardens to the stunning wedding reception, every detail of Laura and Harry's special day was carefully planned and executed to perfection. The atmosphere was electric as their family and friends gathered to celebrate their love and commitment to each other. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
This was a truly great wedding day & one I was excited to get into the edit. As a filmmaker, when I capture certain shots & I know how good it’s going to look, it really does fill me with excitement & it’s one of the things I love most about being a wedding filmmaker. With a beautiful sunset & golden hour I had some truly lovely moments between these two, which formed the visual backbone to their wedding film.
Congratulations to the happy couple, and I hope this wedding film brings back all those big emotions from your special day!

BROOKE + DANNY // THE NIGHTYARD
Brooke and Danny's stunning cinematic wedding film from The Nightyard wedding venue is sure to take your breath away. This lovely couple tied the knot in style, along with their young daughter, in a day that was filled with laughter, tears, and even a military flypast. The Nightyard wedding venue, just outside of Canterbury, provided the perfect backdrop for their special day, with its unique glass-fronted barn, beautiful vineyards, and old stables that now make up the interior walls of the venue. From the morning's bridal prep to the military flypast during the drinks reception, every moment was captured on film to create a romantic and edgy wedding video that truly reflects Brooke and Danny's love story. It was an honor to be a small part of their history and capture these memories for them to cherish forever.
“LOVE, WHAT A MAGICAL THING”
AUGUST 2022
Brooke and Danny's stunning wedding at The Nightyard in Canterbury, Kent was a sight to behold. The glass-fronted barn, surrounded by old stables that now make up the interior walls of the venue, was the perfect backdrop for their big day. And with the beautiful vineyards that surrounded the venue, we were able to capture some truly amazing moments between the newlyweds as the sun set.
The day was filled with laughter, tears, and even a military flypast. As Brooke, Danny, and their young daughter tied the knot in style, they stole the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to be a part of their special day. And for their cinematic wedding film, I wanted to capture that same magic and create something that was both romantic and edgy.
To achieve this, I incorporated some old film stock overlays throughout the film, which added a touch of flare and gave it a vintage feel. I also used a couple of speed ramps here and there to create a sense of momentum and energy. But what really made this film special was the audio soundtrack. Brooke had decided to do a letter reading during the morning's bridal prep, of a card Danny had written her. This provided me with some great audio to work with and added an extra layer of emotion to the film.
One of the things I loved most about filming at The Nightyard was the unique little spot that it occupies. Nestled away on the borders of Canterbury, it provides a stunning backdrop for any wedding. And with the outdoor ceremony area situated among the old stables, it really has a special charm to it. But what I loved even more was the way that the venue seemed to transform as the day went on.
During the drinks reception, we were treated to a military flypast as six American F-15 fighter jets flew overhead in formation. It was a truly unforgettable moment and a sure sign of just how special this day was. And as the sun began to set, we were able to capture some truly magical moments between Brooke and Danny as they wandered through the vineyards that surrounded the venue.
But what really stood out to me about this wedding was the couple themselves. Brooke and Danny were such a lovely, genuine, and down-to-earth couple. It was a pleasure to be a small part of their history and to capture all these memories for them.
As a wedding filmmaker, I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to capture these special moments for couples like Brooke and Danny. To be able to create something that they will cherish for years to come is a true privilege. And I am so grateful for the opportunity to do what I love and to be a part of such a special day.
In conclusion, Brooke and Danny's wedding at The Nightyard in Canterbury, Kent was a truly magical day & I am so grateful to have been a part of it and to have had the opportunity to create something truly special for them both.

BETH + HUGO // BOUGHTON ALUPH, ASHFORD
The beautiful Kent wedding of Beth & Hugo from Boughton Aluph, near Ashford. This wonderful cinematic wedding film tells the authentic story of these two & how their journey began them on a road to this, their beautiful wedding day.
“IF THAT’S WHAT YOU CALL MESSING UP, JUST KEEP MESSING UP”
AUGUST 2022
The beautiful & romantic cinematic wedding film of Beth & Hugo- two wild hearts joining together on their wedding day.
"If that's what you call messing up, keep messing up" was a poignant moment in Father-of-the-bride Chris' speech, as he recalled the story of how Hugo asked for Beths hand in marriage.
With the happy couples beautiful wedding day being hosted at the family home, this was a truly unique & very personal wedding & one I feel very privileged to have been a part of. The marquee on the front lawn was decorated beautifully, doused in wonderful white & pink roses. The tables were expertly laid, with the table names being the big moments ts of Beth & Hugo's 12 year relationship- including the St Lucia table, which represented where these two met, 12 years ago to the day. It was a story that Hugo told during his wedding toast- a story that made everyone laugh followed by some sentimental words that drew more than a few tears in the crowd.
A stunning sunset followed & it was time to whisk these two away & into those golden rays, capturing some magical moments between them. It's always so nice when a perfect day ends with an incredible sunset.
A huge congratulations to Beth & Hugo- I feel very lucky to have been a very small part of your history & I hope there's many happy years ahead for you both.

LIZZIE + ANDY // THE OLD KENT BARN
The Old Kent Barn wedding of Lizzie & Andy, aptly named “Love Conquers All”, is the beautiful story & wedding day of this amazing couple from one of Kent’s premier wedding venues.
“LOVE CONQUERS ALL”
JULY 2022
Lizzie & Andy's beautiful cinematic wedding film from The Old Kent Barn wedding venue in Kent.
The Old Kent Barn provided the perfect backdrop for Lizzie & Andy's incredible wedding day on this hot & sunny July day. "Love conquers all" was a phrase that Lizzie's mother used during her wedding toast & it perfectly summed up this amazing couple who, along with their daughter, family & friends, became husband & wife under blazing hot summer sun in a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony.
I had so much fun filming for these two & they completely stole the hearts of everyone lucky enough to be invited along to their beautiful wedding day. An intimate day, with family being the focus & everyone turning up with their smiles & laughter, ready to have the best time.
We whisked Lizzie & Andy off in the car for a quick drive down the road to a spot Peter had found for their couples portrait session- a spot that was absolutely perfect. In a barley field surrounded by rolling countryside, blue skies & the quiet hum of Mother Nature, we spent about 20 minutes capturing some wonderful moments between these two away from the madness of an incredible wedding day.
Very sadly, Lizzie’s father Martin passed away between the wedding day & when I sat down to edit their wedding film. It’s always an incredibly sad time whenever any family member passes, but this was a first for me- I had never edited a wedding film where I would be featuring someone who sadly is no longer with us. Striking the right chord was paramount- I wanted the right amount of nods & hints to Martin, without making the film feel like it was centred or focussed solely around him, which I think would’ve been a very easy trap to fall into.
As such, this film is dedicated to Martin & although incredibly sad, how lovely that he was able to be a part of Lizzie & Andy’s special day, that he got to walk his daughter down the aisle & that he featured as a pillar in their wedding film- something they can look back on fondly for many years to come.
I thoroughly enjoyed filming at The Old Kent Barn- it’s one of the most popular wedding venues in Kent & always gets amazing reviews & I can see why with such a lovely staff & team.
I hope you enjoy the film!
