NYE Black Tie Wedding at The Orangery Maidstone
Emma and Sam’s Stylish New Year’s Eve Celebration Captured in Cinematic Detail
Watch Emma and Sam’s beautiful, exciting, elegant and epic wedding film from their NYE black-tie wedding at The Orangery, Maidstone.
A Magical Winter Affair in Kent
Emma and Sam—The Tydemans—planned a wedding that was nothing short of unforgettable. A black-tie New Year’s Eve celebration filled with elegance, emotion, and high-end party energy, their day at The Orangery in Maidstone, Kent, was the perfect way to end a year and begin a new chapter. From emotional speeches to gold confetti at midnight, their wedding film had all the ingredients of a true cinematic experience—and I’m so proud to have been the one to tell their story.
The Orangery, Maidstone: Perfect Wedding Venue for the Tydemans
The Orangery Maidstone is a dream venue for any wedding, but for Emma and Sam, it was perfect. With its sweeping grounds and elegant architecture, it offered the perfect backdrop for their editorial black-tie affair. The Wisteria Suite provided the ideal space for bridal prep—bathed in soft natural light that created beautiful, timeless frames. As night fell, the venue transformed into a party space worthy of a New Year’s Eve countdown, ending in a midnight explosion of gold confetti that left everyone on a high. With one hell of an afterparty, this was a wedding day that will live long in the memory for all of us lucky enough to have experienced it.

Emma and Sam’s Vision for Their Wedding Film
Their vision was clear from the beginning: a luxurious cinematic film with the feel of a Hollywood trailer. They weren’t after a heavily romantic or slow-paced film—instead, they wanted something that reflected the tone of the day: editorial, stylish, full of life. They asked for minimal couple shots and maximum energy, with an emphasis on real moments, rich visuals, and storytelling that felt bold and contemporary. Every creative decision I made—from the pacing to the colour grading—was designed to match that vision.
As always, my role was more than just filming. I worked closely with the couple and their vendors throughout the day—helping with lighting decisions and ensuring we captured clean audio from the ceremony and speeches, which played such a vital part in the final edit. Emma’s grandfather had sadly passed away just weeks before the wedding, and the moment in the speeches when everyone raised a glass to him was incredibly poignant. It became one of the emotional anchors in the wedding film. I treated it with the care and weight it deserved, ensuring it was remembered powerfully.
My Favourite Wedding Videography Moment
There are always moments that catch me off guard—and one that stood out above the rest was during the champagne tower. Emma and her bridesmaids gathered around to pour the last bottle of bubbly when—mid pour—the whole thing collapsed. Everyone gasped, then burst out laughing. It was raw, chaotic, and totally perfect. Moments like that are what make a wedding film real. No re-takes, no staging—just genuine celebration.
“The cinematic way in which he films and edits all his wedding videos was just a perfect fit for us.
For most of the time we forgot we were even being filmed, so we were truly ourselves without any nervousness! He managed to capture every emotion and caught so many little candid moments that were just a joy to re-live.
His professionalism, care and general gentle persona leaves you at ease throughout the entire process and the finished product was truly incredible.”
