Watch Alexa & Jack’s heartfelt, authentic and highly emotive wedding film from their Pentney Abbey black-tie summer wedding in Norfolk.

Modern Barn Wedding in the English Countryside

From the very first moment, it was clear that Alexa and Jack—The Bowdens—were going to have a day full of genuine emotion, timeless elegance, and high-energy joy. Their black-tie wedding at Pentney Abbey Estate in Norfolk was both intimate and grand, balancing soft romantic moments with unapologetic fun. It was a wedding that felt deeply personal—a true love story—with scenes that played out like a film you never want to end. I was lucky enough to be behind the lens, telling it all through my signature editorial style.

Pentney Abbey Wedding Venue: A Hidden Gem in Norfolk

Pentney Abbey is one of Norfolk’s hidden treasures. With its historic architecture, sweeping grounds, and golden-hour potential, it offered the perfect setting for both heartfelt moments and big celebrations. Alexa and Jack’s ceremony took place in the heart of the estate—elegant, romantic, and filled with emotion, especially as Jack fought back tears while saying his vows. As the sun set over the abbey walls, we captured one of the most cinematic couple sessions of the year, all before the dance floor exploded into an unforgettable party.

Cinematic Wedding Videography with Authenticity

Alexa and Jack wanted a film that did more than document the day—they wanted something that felt like their love. The brief was clear: cinematic, editorial, full of life and authenticity. They asked me to balance the high-energy moments of their champagne-fuelled party with the softer, more intimate parts of the day—those quiet glances, emotional exchanges, and beautifully raw reactions that truly make a story resonate. This gave me the freedom to create a wedding film that was polished, heartfelt, and uniquely them.

My role as a luxury wedding videographer is about so much more than pointing a camera. I coordinated closely with their photographer, the venue team, and other suppliers to make the day flow smoothly, especially during creative moments like their golden hour portraits and the champagne spray celebration. I captured clear, professional audio for their ceremony and speeches, provided soft lighting for after-dark events, and gave editorial-style direction when needed to enhance the cinematic look without making anything feel staged. Every choice was intentional, every frame crafted with care.

My Favourite Wedding Videography Moment

One of the standout moments was right after golden hour—the entire bridal party gathered outside Pentney Abbey, cheering wildly as Jack uncorked a bottle of Champagne and launched it into the air. It was bold, fun, and totally them. Capturing that moment—bursting with energy and framed by the historic abbey—was the perfect visual summary of what made their wedding so unforgettable. That moment made the final cut, of course, and it still gives me goosebumps when I watch it back.

“I've had many bridal party members commented how he brought great energy, put everyone at ease and ultimately just felt part of the group on the day!

And then there is the film, wow wow wow - we feel like movie stars! We're still bewildered how he got certain shots, and the way he has created a narrative using our ceremony, vows, and speeches is a masterpiece - every detail is so thoughtfully curated.

You won't regret booking Luke, and the videos will take you back to a day that goes by way to fast again and again and again!”
