Studio Music Video Showreel – The Two Of Us
Capturing Acoustic Talent in Studio: The Two Of Us
When The Two Of Us — a talented acoustic duo made up of vocalist Eliza Baya and guitarist Nelson Aguilar — approached me at Luke Batchelor Productions, their vision was simple but impactful: create a short, cinematic studio showreel that captured the range and chemistry of their performance.
Filmed entirely at The Joplin House recording studio in Ashford, the final video we created is a warm, character-rich visual companion to their sound — blending ten song excerpts into a seamless, engaging three-minute showcase.
Why a Studio Music Video Works for Artists
A well-produced studio music video showreel gives artists an edge — showing not only what they sound like but how they perform together in an intimate setting. These videos are perfect for sending to venues, booking agents, promoters, and audiences who want to see your musical dynamic and stage-ready professionalism in a polished format.
The Setup at The Joplin House, Ashford
Small Space. Big Impact.
The Joplin House is a beautiful little recording studio with vintage flair — rich textures, soft lighting, and a welcoming old-school vibe. While the space was tight, that challenge actually worked in our favour. It allowed for beautifully composed close-ups, warm ambient lighting, and a real sense of intimacy between Eliza and Nelson.
I provided full cinematography, lighting, and creative input on how best to film within the space, making use of every corner to bring variety across the ten short segments. Each performance clip was shot with slightly different framing, movement, and aesthetic detail — offering a lot of depth for such a contained setup.

The Power of a Studio Showreel
This wasn’t about flashy effects — it was about feel, tone, and texture. Studio music videos are perfect for acoustic artists who want their visuals to match their sound — and I love finding ways to make small spaces feel cinematic and professional.
While the audio was pre-recorded and professionally mixed by the client, I worked closely to align visual pacing, mood, and transitions with the final soundtrack — creating a video that feels both seamless and live.
I work with musicians, studios, and producers to craft on-location music video content that connects with audiences and professionals alike. Whether you’re filming a full track or a compilation like this one, I’ll bring the experience and creative eye to elevate your performance on screen.
