Winters Barns Wedding Venue

Tucked away in the historic city of Canterbury, Winters Barns is one of Kent’s most charming countryside wedding venues. With its iconic thatched roof, vaulted ceilings, and peaceful gardens, this venue is an inviting and intimate space to celebrate your day.

As a Kent wedding videographer, I’ve had the pleasure of filming at Winters Barns many times, and it remains a standout for its warm character, private setting, and seamless layout. I am fortunate enough to have been a recommended supplier to Winters Barns for over 7 years now- indeed it was actually the first wedding venue that added me to the recommended supplier list.

Whether you’re planning a relaxed countryside ceremony or a vibrant evening celebration, this venue offers the perfect backdrop for an elegant and emotive wedding film.

Cinematic Wedding Videography at Winters Barns

A wedding at Winters Barns isn’t just about the setting—it’s about the atmosphere. The exposed beams, soft lighting, and flowing indoor-to-outdoor layout make this venue a dream to film.

From your morning preparations in the light-filled salon to golden hour portraits in the secluded garden, every moment here lends itself naturally to beautiful, cinematic storytelling. With a combination of editorial-style coverage and carefully crafted visuals, I’ll ensure your film reflects both the look and feel of your day.

“When we received our video from Luke, I sobbed like a baby. It was romantic, magical and overall just pure love. We feel so honoured to have Luke at our wedding and would recommend him at any chance we get.

It really is over and above what we expected and we feel so much love being able to share Luke's work with our nearest people

Thank you for making it possible to relive the love from our day, over and over again.”

Seamless Flow Between Spaces

The layout flows from prep areas to ceremony, reception, and evening party without disruption—ideal for videography with consistent visual flow throughout the day and something that allows so much more coverage on your wedding day.

Exclusive Use and Privacy

Your day is completely your own, without interruption or distractions. This exclusive use guarantees a calm atmosphere and allows for uninterrupted storytelling.

What sets Winters Barns apart for me is the way the venue evolves with the day. It has distinct moments: a calm morning in the prep rooms, an emotional ceremony in the barn, an open-air drinks reception in the courtyard, and then the energy of the evening as the party unfolds.

The lighting here is wonderful to work with—soft natural light for the ceremony, warm glows from candles and uplighting at night. It’s a venue where I can focus fully on capturing the emotion, the people, and the changing rhythm of the day without distraction. With so many versatile backdrops just steps away, there’s never a moment that feels out of place on film and you can really focus on the authenticity of the day.
