Romantic Wadhurst Castle Wedding Film

Watch Sarah & Billy’s funny, romantic and authentic wedding film from their Wadhurst Castle wedding in Sussex.

A Fairytale Summer Wedding

Sarah and Billy—The Ely’s—brought pure joy, personality, and just the right amount of chaos to their Wadhurst Castle wedding. They didn’t want something overly polished or slow-paced; they wanted a wedding film that felt true to their nature: fast-paced, fun-loving, and filled with real moments. With hilarious ‘Love Island’ references in speeches, an energetic dance floor, and deep affection woven into everything, their film is equal parts cheeky and romantic. Exactly as they’d imagined it.

Wadhurst Castle: The Perfect Venue for English Castle Weddings

With expansive views across the Sussex countryside and a regal yet intimate atmosphere, Wadhurst Castle was the ideal choice for their day. The outdoor ceremony on the lawn, framed by the castle itself and under clear skies, felt grand yet personal. The grounds offered plenty of space for guests to relax and enjoy, and the terrace and interiors were a dream for transitioning from romance to revelry. It gave us everything we needed to reflect their vibe and story beautifully.

Authentic Wedding Videography with Emotions

Sarah and Billy’s brief for their wedding film was simple: fun, fast-paced, and full of feeling. They didn’t want a slow, overly stylised film—they wanted something that moved with rhythm and energy, capturing not just the romance but the atmosphere. They were a couple who laughed with their whole faces, who prioritised being present over being posed. This wasn’t about perfecting a look—it was about honouring a vibe.

Because Sarah and Billy prioritised videography over photography, I had the opportunity to direct most of their couple moments throughout the day. That allowed me to lean fully into natural, creative editorial-style shots that showed who they truly are. I also worked closely with the venue team to guide guests smoothly between moments, and kept a close eye on the weather so we could capture the perfect golden hour. A second videographer helped us cover all angles and ensure nothing was missed—from speech and laughter to wild dance moves.

My Favourite Moment as Their Videographer

The couple’s portrait session was a highlight. I led the direction here, crafting a session that didn’t feel awkward or overproduced—just them. Their connection came through in every frame, and what we captured during that golden hour was the very essence of who Sarah and Billy are: warm, witty, deeply in love, and just so fun to be around. That moment is the beating heart of their film.

“I've had many bridal party members commented how he brought great energy, put everyone at ease and ultimately just felt part of the group on the day!

And then there is the film, wow wow wow - we feel like movie stars! We're still bewildered how he got certain shots, and the way he has created a narrative using our ceremony, vows, and speeches is a masterpiece - every detail is so thoughtfully curated.

You won't regret booking Luke, and the videos will take you back to a day that goes by way to fast again and again and again!”
